International Women's Day 2022

The reflection of all the women of our Institution who develop and raise their voices for the female gender every day

In the framework of International Women's Day 2022, we recognize that to achieve sustainable development and greater gender equality it is essential to continue to explore the opportunities, as well as the constraints, to enable women to have a voice and participate equally throughout the world. It is vitally important to give voice to women who, by example, develop and raise their voices for the female gender every day.


Michelle Velarde

  • Fernanda Michelle Velarde Rocha, Student of the Biology Clinical Chemist Degree and leader of the Chemicals for Health group – QuiLud

She is a student of the Biologist Clinical Chemist career, and currently, thanks to her commitment and responsibility, she has been appointed leader of the group Chemists for Health - QuiLud. La licenciada se desempeña como Coordinadora de Grupos Estudiantiles de Responsabilidad Social de la Secretaría de Asuntos Estudiantiles además, desde el 2019, es el enlace con la Unidad para la Igualdad de Género y trabaja las acciones correspondientes del Protocolo de Atención para Casos de Acoso u Hostigamiento Sexual que se pudieran suscitar. Dr. Yolanda Salinas

  • Dr. MC. Yolanda Salinas Álvarez, Professor of the Department of Human Anatomy

The doctor is the first woman to hold the position of professor in the Department of Human Anatomy. She recognizes the work she has to make visible that all female students can develop in this type of science that had historically been occupied by men, in addition to promoting them through their best instrument: teaching.
