It was last Sunday, November 1, 2020, during the COVID-19 case update conference in Nuevo León held at the Government Palace, where the Manuel Enrique De la O Cavazos, DM; Secretario de Salud del Estado de Nuevo León, entregó un reconocimiento al Banco de Sangre del Hospital Universitario “Dr. José Eleuterio González” por la invaluable y activa participación en el Programa Estatal de Donación Altruista de Sangre.

The event was attended by Jorge Martín Llaca Díaz, MPH; Secretario Académico de la Licenciatura de Químico Clínico Biólogo y Asesor del Grupo QuiLud, a recibir la mencionada placa de reconocimiento en nombre del Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; Principal of the School of Medicine and University Hospital "Dr. José Eleuterio González".

“It is something very gratifying, it is a work of 10 years in the group which is reflected in this recognition. We actively have blood donation campaigns as a group, but this does not mean that this component is needed only during the duration of the campaign; Mexico is a country that has very few altruistic blood donors, so our goal as a group is to make the student community aware, not only of the Faculty of Medicine, but of the entire UANL so that they are constant altruistic donors. And as our motto says: something so important and simple to donate is something so important for the patients who need it most” mentioned the students Laura Victoria Navarro Sánchez and Samantha Nohemí Quintero Carranza, leader and deputy leader respectively of the group QuiLud.
