Nuevo León Heritage Day
The Museum Hall will participate in the Heritage Day of Nuevo León by projecting short films
Every second Sunday in March is the Nuevo León Heritage Day, a citizen initiative through which it is sought to make known to the Neolonese community all the recreational and cultural offer that gives identity to our state. Various cultural and educational spaces open their doors every second Sunday in March with an extensive schedule of free activities.
First celebrated in 2014, it is now an official date on the state's civic calendar. On that day, various public institutions (municipal, state and federal), museums, universities and various associations open their doors to the public to show the richness of their collections and everything that makes Nuevo León unique.
The great event seeks to retake the international experience as occurs in Canada, South Africa or Uruguay.
Heritage is made up of tangible and intangible assets, natural or cultural, that give identity, meaning and value to a community, in this case for the inhabitants of Nuevo León.
In this eighth edition, due to the new normality adopted as a result of the global epidemic we have been through, all scheduled activities will be carried out virtually, through different digital platforms of each participating institution.
For our part, Dr. Ángel Oscar Ulloa Gregori Museum RoomWe will screen short films with biographical profiles of some doctors from the School of Medicine and the Civil Hospital, who stood out in the field of historical research, regional literature, the dissemination and preservation of cultural and scientific heritage.
This screening will take place on Sunday March 14, starting at 10:00 am, through the Facebook platform of our museum.
