At 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, the Ceremony of Recognition for Distinguished Undergraduate Students for the Bachelors of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician, as well as Chemistry Clinical-Biologist, was held in the Polyvalent Auditorium of the School of Medicine. This event takes place within the framework of the University Hospital Week, in the company of professors, colleagues and relatives of the winners.

This solemn act was presided over by the following authorities of our Institution:

• Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; Principal of the School of Medicine and University Hospital "Dr. José Eleuterio González"
• Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician
• Paula Cordero Pérez, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Chemist Clinical-Biologist
• Carlos Alberto Zapata Castilleja, DM; Academic Secretary of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician
• Jorge Martín Llaca Díaz, DEd; Academic Secretary of the Bachelor of Chemist Clinical-Biologist

The awards in this ceremony are delivered to the students who obtain the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st place of each year for both educational programs, covering the period from August 2021 to July 2022. The total number of awarded students of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician was 45, while for the Bachelor of Chemistry Clinical-Biologist was 21. The event was attended by Guillermo Jacobo Baca, DM; Master of ceremonies.

The students who obtained the 1st place of generation of the mentioned period, according to the bachelor, are:

• Zabdy Alejandro Ruiz Mancillas; Chemist Clinical-Biologist
