In the framework of University Hospital Week, the Virtual Recognition Ceremony for Distinguished Undergraduate Students of Clinical Chemistry Biologist, as well as Surgeon and Midwife, was held last Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., in the Continuing Education Auditorium broadcast via Facebook.

The following authorities were present at the ceremony:

• Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; Principal of the School of Medicine and University Hospital "Dr. José Eleuterio González"
• Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician
• Paula Cordero Pérez, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Chemist Clinical-Biologist
• Guillermo Jacobo Baca, DM., Maestro de ceremonias

The recognitions in this ceremony are given to the students who obtain the 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st place of each year of the degree, this time comprising the period from August 2020 to July 2021; the total number of award-winning students for the Surgeon and Midwifery career was 39, while for the Clinical Chemist Biologist career it was 25.

The students who obtained the 1st place of generation of the mentioned period are:

• Dr. Jesús Daniel Meléndez Flores; Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician
• Mildred Anahí Díaz Caldera, BSc; Chemist Clinical-Biologist
