Altar de Muertos for members of our medical community who have passed away

School of Medicine preserves this traditional Mexican culture that allows offerings and remembering those who are no longer here

After 8 days of work organized by the Coordination of Cultural Affairs, through Radio Medicine, together with the groups of Reading Circle "Pedro Garfias", Photography and Video Medicine, as well as the International Section of Undergraduate Students (SINESP) , the Altar de Muertos of the School of Medicine was presented to our university community, which is mainly dedicated to two doctors who in life were members of the Rondalla of the School of Medicine: Esleiter Riojas Bernal and Víctor Alfonso Fonseca Cruz. However, the Altar de Muertos also carried photographs of teachers and students who, due to a situation such as the pandemic, died.

During the presentation of the big traditional Mexican element held on November 1, 2022 in the Central Lobby of the Regional Center for Health Information and Documentation "Dr. Alfredo Piñeyro López", was attended by the following authorities:

  • Dr. David Abraham Vázquez González;‍‍‍‍‍ Coordinator of Cultural Affairs
  • Mr. David Ahedo Pedraza; Coordinator of Regional Center for Health Information and Documentation "Dr. Alfredo Piñeyro López"

Also, during the presentation of the Altar of the Dead, a dance sample was offered by the Folkloric Ballet "Tzapotlatenan" and the participation of the Rondallas of the School of Medicine.
