COVID-19: Benefits of vaccination

Thanks to scientific studies and global clinical trials, different vaccines have been developed that offer benefits to the human body

As has been seen in the last year, thanks to the fact that different laboratories have been carrying out scientific studies, it has been possible to develop some vaccines that have been very useful for the entire population worldwide, providing the human body with a certain level of protection against the coronavirus. SARS-CoV-2. Its TThis topic has caused a lot of controversy in recent months because there are many people who are interested in protecting themselves in the best possible way but, in the same way, there are people who do not believe in its effectiveness and, instead of believing that it is a benefit, they believe that it is something that will end up affecting them.

Below, in order to refute everything that can be said against vaccination, the reasons why we should apply the COVID-19 vaccine are listed:

  • Vaccines have undergone a process of scientific studies, like all vaccines, in order to be developed and accepted for use in the population worldwide.
  • They have undergone clinical trials, they are not being used as an experimental project.
  • They will be constantly monitored to review your security at all times.
  • Vaccines are effective at the time of contagion of the virus, since they help us reduce the risk of developing serious symptoms, hospitalizations and even death.
  • Getting vaccinated not only helps protect yourself, but also those around us.
  • Once the majority of the population has completed the vaccination schedule, it will be possible to gradually return to the life that we were used to having before this pandemic began; This does not mean that once vaccinated we can forget about the security measures we use today, it just means that the sooner we get vaccinated, the sooner we can get out of this situation.
  • If you already presented the COVID-19 infection, you can get vaccinated. The antibodies that you develop when infected only last for a certain time, therefore you will only be immune for a defined time, the vaccine will give you a safer and more effective immunity.
  • No vaccine has the live SARS-Cov2 virus, therefore, when you get vaccinated, there is no risk of getting infected with the vaccine.

Now that we know that the COVID-19 virus is mutating and creating new strains, new doubts about vaccination continue to arise. The delta variant It causes more infections and a higher level of contagion than we had previously seen and, in the same way, causes more serious symptoms and sequelae, but it has been confirmed that vaccines do provide protection against this new strain. Vaccines continue to be effective in reducing symptoms, hospitalizations, and death from this infection.

Although we are vaccinated we have to continue taking care of the virus; use of a mask, healthy distance, avoid crowds of people and all other security measures that are already known.
