COVID-19: Quarantine and isolation
Isolation and quarantine could help stop the growth of a third wave of coronavirus
You have probably heard from the health authorities and some news programs the terms quarantine Y isolation since the arrival of the coronavirus pandemic, so it is important to know the difference and apply what is appropriate to prevent the spread and stop a third wave of COVID-19.
QUARANTINE
It is necessary to do quarantine if you were in close contact [less than 2 meters and for a considerable number of minutes] with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19. If you have not received the vaccine either and had contact with a positive person, it is important to also follow this indication.
- Stay home for 14 days from contact with the person with COVID-19.
- Be attentive to the appearance of fever, cough, shortness of breath or any other symptom of coronavirus.
- Stay away from the people you live with, especially those considered vulnerable.
ISOLATION
It is called isolation to action separate people infected with COVID-19 from those who are not. Isolation should be adhered to until it is safe to be in contact with other people, to remain in a specific area or room, including using a bathroom or objects that no one else is interacting with.
- Monitor symptoms and seek medical attention if required.
- Avoid having contact with household members or pets.
- Wear a mask when someone attends to you.

Today it must never be demonstrated that we have learned to be responsible in handling the coronavirus pandemic; get vaccinated if you already have the opportunity to do so, do not expose yourself if it is not necessary and wear a face mask whenever you leave your house.
