Following up on the agreement signed a year ago with the Greater Poland Cancer Center, the University Cancer Center announced the start of its joint participation with that center in two international multicenter clinical trials: OPERA and ATTICA, in which various cancer centers in Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, and Mexico are collaborating through the University Hospital.

The OPERA study aims to develop a tool based on molecular profiles that will enable personalized radiotherapy for breast cancer patients. ATTICA, meanwhile, focuses on the application of information technologies for the exchange and integration of medical data, within a strict framework of privacy and data protection, ensuring that trials are conducted with scientific responsibility and integrity.

During the event, representatives from the Greater Poland Cancer Center, Julian Malicki, Magdalena Fundowicz, and Wiktoria Suchorska, were in attendance, as well as Dr. Oscar Vidal Gutiérrez, Director and Head of Oncology, Dr. C. Rafael Piñeiro Retif, Technical Secretary of the Directorate and Head of Radiotherapy, and Dr. Ricardo Mendoza, whose work has been recognized.
