Once a year and within the framework of the Fight against Mom's Cancer, GECCAM (Student Group Dedicated to Breast Cancer Prevention) of Gestimed conduct a campaign to donate hair.

Donated braids are delivered to an organization that is responsible for making wigs, which are intended for cancer patients. On average a wig wears between 7 and 10 braids.

The group coordinator, Mayra Hernández Ramírez, told us that the way to raise awareness and attract the attention of the participants is through social networks.
