On August 21, 2018, the Faculty became a gala night, because the event was held Miss Medicine. A total of 9 students participated, showing not only their beauty, but also the mastery of the catwalk, the word and their great enthusiasm for being excellent students.

The event had an opening catwalk, a moment where the participants gave their message and the catwalk in a gala dress. In addition, some student groups set the pace with dancing or singing. Likewise, Flor Véliz was the host of this event.

El jurado se conformaba (de der. a izq.) por el Dr. Guillermo Jacobo Baca; Secretario de Asuntos Estudiantiles de la Facultad de Medicina, Mariana González Nava, actual Miss Nuevo León, modelo profesional y licenciada en pedagogía, Kattia Paola Ornelas Santos, Señorita Medicina 2016 y Señorita UANL 2017 y Mariana Michel Ramírez Cerda, Señorita Preparatoria UANL 2014 y modelo.

Al evento también asistieron el Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician and the Guillermo Elizondo Riojas, DSc; Academic Secretary of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician.

The winner of the Miss Medicine 2018 contest was Mariana Gelinas Martín del Campo, who will be representing the Faculty in the UANL level contest.
