On August 10, 2018, the protest was taken of the new students who will direct the board of directors (SAMED) of the Faculty of Medicine. They are: Miguel Ángel Guajardo Montemayor (President) and Fernando Martínez Cuspinera (Student Advisor).

Se contó con la presencia del Rogelio Guillermo Garza Rivera, MSc; Rector de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, quien aprovechó el momento para dar unas palabras inspiradoras a los alumnos entrantes, así como el Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; Director de la Facultad de Medicina y Hospital Universitario “Dr. José Eleuterio González” y el Luis Rolando Hernández Salazar, MIA; Director de Actividades Estudiantiles de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, de quienes recibieron el otorgamiento.

The outgoing students, Benito Morán Herrera and Héctor Adán Huesca Pérez, also had the opportunity to give a few words of farewell and thanks to all their classmates and family, for the support during the cycle.
