We regret the sensitive death of Dr. med. Donato Sald\u00edvar Rodr\u00edguez, who was a graduate, professor and director of our institution.<\/p>\n

dr med Donato Saldivar Rodriguez <\/strong><\/p>\n

1958 – 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

Born on November 19, 1958 in Cd. Mante Tamaulipas, he completed his undergraduate studies in Surgeon and Obstetrics and Postgraduate studies in Gynecology and Obstetrics and Maternal Fetal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital \u201cDr. Jos\u00e9 Eleuterio Gonz\u00e1lez\u201d of the UANL, also completed a Law Degree at the Faculty of Law and Criminology of the UANL.<\/p>\n

His highest academic degree: two doctorates, the first in Medicine from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the second in Law with a focus on Constitutional Law and Governance from the Autonomous University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n. Both with honorable mention Summa Cum Laude.<\/p>\n

He was a full-time professor at the UANL School of Medicine for 33 years, during which time he actively participated in teaching, assistance, and research, training generations of physicians, specialists in Gynecology and Obstetrics, and subspecialists in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.<\/p>\n

Promoter in the generation and dissemination of knowledge at a national and international level through multiple books, articles in magazines and research papers.<\/p>\n

We join the pain of his family and relatives in this loss.<\/p>\n

As part of his professional career, he held the following positions:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Counselor Professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the UANL (since 2017).<\/li>\n
  • Head of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics of the UANL School of Medicine (since 2000).<\/li>\n
  • Director of Hospitals of the Health Services of Nuevo Le\u00f3n (November 2015 \u2013 March 2016)<\/li>\n
  • Director of the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital of the UANL (2004-2010)<\/li>\n
  • Deputy Director of Hospital Assistance of the University Hospital \u201cDr. Jose Eleuterio Gonzalez\u201d (1997-2004)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    He was awarded various distinctions, to mention a few:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • UANL Award for Invention, Recognition of Industrial Property, 2018 and 2019 editions<\/li>\n
    • Doctor Honoris Causa from the University of the North of Tamaulipas (2019)<\/li>\n
    • \u201cAlfonso Mart\u00ednez Dom\u00ednguez-Luis M. Far\u00edas\u201d Medal, awarded by the National Confederation of Popular Organizations of Nuevo Le\u00f3n for his outstanding work in the social sphere and in the area of medicine (2010)<\/li>\n
    • Award \u201cDr. Norberto Trevi\u00f1o Zapata\u201d awarded by the Unidad Tamaulipeca, AC as distinguished Tamaulipas of the year (2010)<\/li>\n
    • Medal for Civic Merit in Health \u201cDr. Carlos Canseco\u201d granted by the Municipality of Monterrey for his work in the practice of medicine.
