As part of the agenda for the 87th anniversary of the Maximum House of Studies, the Autonomous University of Nuevo Le\u00f3n, the web panel of international stature "The future of medical education: Reflections from COVID-19" was held in the past Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n

    The webinar was attended by the Edelmiro P\u00e9rez Rodr\u00edguez, MD;<\/strong> Director de la Facultad de Medicina y Hospital Universitario “Dr. Jos\u00e9 Eleuterio Gonz\u00e1lez”, y del Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Oma\u00f1a, DSc;<\/strong> Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician, como moderador de los di\u00e1logos abordados.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      The panel was divided into three phases where the current state and trends in medical education, adaptations due to the COVID-19 pandemic and changes in basic and clinical science education were first raised, in a second point questions were answered the audience connected and finally reflected on what was presented at the conference by each of the four guests.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

      Finally, the Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Oma\u00f1a, DSc;<\/strong>\u00a0mencion\u00f3 que \u201calgunas veces tambi\u00e9n, las crisis aceleran lo inevitable, la pandemia del COVID-19, aceler\u00f3 la implementaci\u00f3n de estas herramientas digitales y produjo que los profesores adquirieran nuevas habilidades tecnol\u00f3gicas y adecuara los programas de estudio para continuar con la formaci\u00f3n de m\u00e9dicos de excelencia [\u2026] muchos cambios en la educaci\u00f3n m\u00e9dica que han sido provocados por COVID-19, y algunos de ellos, sin duda, perdurar\u00e1n por largo tiempo\u201d con lo cual cerr\u00f3 el panel.<\/p>\r\n
