Symposium for Breastfeeding Week

The main objective of this event was to understand the importance and benefits of breastfeeding

Last Thursday, August 4, 2022, in Auditorium 1 of the School of Medicine, the "Breastfeeding Week" Symposium was held, organized by the International Section of Undergraduate Students (SINESP). During the event, an informative talk, a roundtable and a workshop were held where the importance, benefits, correct practices and taboos that exist around breastfeeding were addressed.

At 2:00 p.m., Guillermo Jacobo Baca, DM; Secretary of Student-Affairs of the School of Medicine, inaugurated the symposium, recalling that it is important to be informed and approach the cause of breastfeeding to counteract misinformation like many of the taboos that breastfeeding in public entails, for example. The event was also attended by Dr. Francisco Abdeel Santos Coronado; Coordinator of Student Groups of Collaboration.
