What is Eva Periods?

  • Sofía García, MCP student and Eva Periods collaborator

Eva Periods revolves around the first menstrual cup Made with Mexican materials and hands 100%, however, the project team is also innovating in a reusable applicator for tampons and in absorbent pantyhose. In addition, Sofía works in the articulation of a network of gynecologists who have a perspective of gender ethics and feminism to generate information, as well as the implementation of a chat bot to provide answers to frequently asked questions about women's sexual and reproductive health.

❝Eva Periods is born from our own needs since month after month we have processes around menstruation. From this we wanted to create a support network for all menstruating women, so that not only our processes but those of future generations are far from stigmas or possible taboos❞

Sofía indicated that, in the short term, Eva Periods will continue to be a brand in gestation and growing with innovations and small productions. On the other hand, it sees the long-term project as a support network for all women and the assurance that the products will respond to the different needs of the menstruating person, thus becoming an influential brand in society.

Tiger Tank Experience

The opportunity to grow the Eva Periods project arose when the team reviewed the call for TigerTank, a program that allows young people, professors and administrative staff of the UANL to present high-impact ventures that affect one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

❝I have a very pleasant experience. The HUB provided us with the necessary tools to be able to prepare ourselves well and expand our knowledge about entrepreneurship […] with training that was provided to us throughout this process. In addition to the fact that we had very strong and capable opponents with incredible projects that, at all times, made us give our maximum effort❞
