University Hospital inaugurates expansion in dermatological research area
The expansion of a new area of research will allow the generation of more knowledge and treatments
The Interdisciplinary Dermatology Laboratory area located in the Dr. Rodrigo Barragán building at the University Hospital was created 20 years ago, here the clinic and research for the development of new solutions to diseases and bacteria are joined.
On August 10, 2018, an extension was inaugurated in this space, thus allocating specific laboratories to work with some bacteria and fungi of health risk. Counting on materials and equipment with the latest technology for these activities.
This type of research drives the University Hospital as one of the world leaders in the study of strains of certain diseases, even collaborating with other institutions in the United States, Germany, Switzerland and Europe. In addition, it is an area that produces around 24 research articles a year.
