As part of the activities that the Faculty of Medicine has implemented to shape itself as a fair, equitable and environmentally friendly institution, the Ecological Week organized by the Society of Medical Students (SAMED) and the Secretariat was carried out of Student Affairs (SEASE) from March 4 to 8 with the presence of interactive stands dedicated to the recycling and collection of paper, aluminum, PET and batteries.

In addition, different workshops and conferences were given by the University Environmental Federation (UNIVERDE) and members of other UANL faculties where students were shown how to implement methods attached to sustainability and environmental care.

 En la inauguración de la Semana Ecológica, en el Lobby del Auditorio Polivalente, el Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; Subdirector de Estudios de Pregrado de la Licenciatura de Médico Cirujano y Partero, mencionó que este tipo de actividades son en beneficio de la propia comunidad estudiantil y de la institución, asimismo recalcó que se tenía que invitar a los estudiantes a participar y hacerse responsables con lo que les corresponde como la clasificación de residuos, el cuidado del agua y los recursos que se tienen.

During the workshops, the demonstration of stainless steel straws and bio bottles, a friendly kit for a family garden, and ecological bags and recycled wallets was presented.
