Recognition of students accepted to the University Talents Program 2022-2023

The students of the School of Medicine with a report of 95 or higher were recognized for their academic effort

On the morning of this Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. sharp, in the Psychiatry Auditorium of the School of Medicine, 29 students from Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician, as well as Chemist Clinical-Biologist, who are part of the Institutional Program for the Development of University Talents in the period 2022-2023, after having obtained an report of 95 or higher during the previous year of their bachelor.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Aldo Ramírez Campos; Coordinator of Tutorials and Talents, presented the distinguished authorities present at the event, being the following:

  • Jaime Arturo Castillo Elizondo, DEd; Academic Secretary of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
  • Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; Principal of the School of Medicine and University Hospital "Dr. José Eleuterio González"
  • Gerardo Tamez González, PhD; Principal of Bachelor Study System of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
  • Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; Vice-Principal of Undergraduate Studies of the Bachelor of Medical Surgeon-Obstetrician
  • Guillermo Jacobo Baca, DM; Secretary of Student-Affairs of the School of Medicine
  • Xóchitl Amalia Arango Morales, PhD; General Vice-Principal of the Bachelor Study System of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León
  • Alan Rivera Villalobos, MIB; General Coordinator of the Institutional Program for the Development of University Talents

Prior to the award ceremony, Rodrigo Enrique Elizondo Omaña, DSc; congratulated the students of both degrees offered by the Faculty of Medicine and urged them to continue developing academic skills to become future leaders in their labor field.

"The University Talents Program represents for me [...] a gratification that is manifested, for example, with support in the rectory fee, institutional recognition, support to study a foreign language, support so that we continue to excel and, finally, a scholarship for the titulation" mentioned the student Pedro Emiliano Ramos Morales; followed by the awards ceremony.

For his part, Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; mentioned to the parents that their sons are highly recognized by the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León and that is a great reason to feel very proud of them, it is also an honor for the School of Medicine, to have them as students.

On behalf of Santos Guzmán López, DM; Rector of the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, the Jaime Arturo Castillo Elizondo, DEd; indicated that "for the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, with the vision of our Rector, it is essential to recognize the academic trajectory through this Talents Program and this is the better way to do it in a very intimate and very significant ceremony to highlight that talent and motivate them even more".
