They hold a symposium for the International Day of the Fight against Childhood Cancer
For the first time three different SEASE coordinations come together to raise awareness about Childhood Cancer.
As part of the activities of the student groups, on Tuesday, February 18, in the Auditorium 6 of our School, the International Symposium for the Fight against Childhood Cancer in which the Girl Up groups were involved took place FacMed, Sustainable Medicine, GRECCA, GEDIPEN and PSICOSP.
Dr. Guillermo Jacobo Baca, Secretary of Student Affairs, was in charge of opening the symposium at 3:10 p.m. and stressing to students the importance of participating and collaborating with the different groups belonging to the SEASE coordination.
The topics and talks that were addressed during the event were:
Most frequent types of cancer in Mexico
Nutritional changes in a patient with cancer
Testimony of a patient who beat cancer
It is important to highlight that during the access to the event plastic caps were being collected in order to donate them to the Children's Anticancer Alliance, who turn this donation into treatments for children with cancer.
