Informative talk of Doctors Without Borders

For students and graduates who seek to be part of medical-humanitarian projects, the organization Doctors Without Borders was announced

Through the Faculty of Medicine and the Secretariat of Student Affairs of the same was how an informative talk was carried out to graduates of our institution and students of the career of Surgeon and Midwifery, as well as nursing and psychology degrees the last June 25 in the auditorium 1 of the faculty.

The purpose of this informative talk was to present, through the speakers, the Lic. In Nursing Sandra Platas Avedaño and Dr. Héctor Alfonso Apolinar Menéndez, the international medical and philanthropic projects carried out by Doctors Without Borders and How to be part of them.

The Doctors Without Borders organization provides medical services in world populations where they have precarious situations, victims of epidemics, to those who have been victims of natural disasters or catastrophes caused by humans such as armed conflicts; all this leaving aside the race, religion and political ideology of those affected.

In our country, the organization has been present since 1985 with the earthquake happened in Mexico City and more recently in the 2017 earthquake working in Puebla, Oaxaca, Morelos and the State of Mexico; They are also still present, attending medically to the transmigrant population in Mexican territory, psychosocially helping victims of violence and providing access to health services.
