On the morning of this Friday, October 21, 2022, at 9:00 a.m., the Guard of Honor to Dr. José Eleuterio González was held next to the monument erected to the worthy man of Nuevo León at the School of Medicine. The above happened within the University Hospital Week and the Doctor's Day.

In addition to chiefs of departments and services, coordinators, secretaries, undergraduate and postgraduate students, nursing, social and administrative work staff, as well as members of the labor union, the authorities present at the event were:

“The least we can do is respect and be grateful for a character of this magnitude like Dr. José Eleuterio González, continue to respect him, be grateful and express it at least once a year with this Guard of Honor. A small tribute but a great recognition to a man who laid the foundations for this School of Medicine and this University Hospital” shared Edelmiro Pérez Rodríguez, DM; after having kept a minute of silence in memory of Dr. Gonzalitos.

At the end, the attendees moved to the Central Plaza to be participants and sing the mañanitas together with the Rondallas of the School of Medicine and share cake for the commemoration of Doctor's Day. This was organized by the Student Society.
