Community of the CROC neighborhood raise awareness on World Cancer Day

As part of the agreement between the Municipality of Monterrey and the Directorate of the Faculty of Medicine and University Hospital & #8220; Dr. José Eleuterio González & #8221; through the Community Assistance Branch, brigades were held on February 4 as part of the World Cancer Day.
Residents and interns of the Medical and Surgeon career of the Faculty of Medicine, visited the health center of the CROC colony giving talks and advice on how to prevent cancer.
During the development of the visit, interns had the opportunity to grant support by consulting patients in specific areas in family, internal medicine and oncology.
These talks addressed issues such as the prevention of breast cancer, human papilloma cancer, testicular cancer and prostate cancer, inviting the community and its surroundings to contribute to health care, going to the doctor and acquiring the necessary vaccines
El evento concluyó con la visita del Secretario de Desarrollo Social, Rafel Eduardo Ramos de la Garza, el Mario Alberto Garza Elizondo, DSc; Subdirector de Asistencia Comunitaria y el Director de Salud de Monterrey, Ricardo de la Rocha, quienes aprovecharon para insistir una vez más sobre el cuidado de la salud y prevención del cáncer.
